Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the mechanical maintenance team in a North‑American plant. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, safe, and cost‑effective maintenance to maximize equipment availability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee scheduled maintenance jobs, maintaining quality, safety, and effectiveness.
• Review weekly schedules, assign work to millwrights, and prioritize tasks.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, coordinating prompt repairs.
• Provide reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent and feedback on material, tool, and labor consumption.
• Coordinate training and mentorship for millwright apprentices.
• Maintain productivity, housekeeping, and quality standards in the department.
• Administer collective agreement terms fairly and consistently.
• Participate in the plant on‑call system and investigate safety incidents.

Required profile

• DEP in industrial mechanics, DEC in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technologist, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance supervision experience.
• Extensive heavy‑equipment repair background and asset inspection experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and travel up to 10%.
