Maintenance Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team at Metterra and Varscona Hotels on Whyte. You will work closely with the Rooms Department to ensure guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and systems are well maintained, safe, and operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the maintenance team, coordinating routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Rooms Department on guest‑room improvements and equipment upkeep.
• Develop and manage preventative‑maintenance schedules, safety plans, energy‑saving initiatives, and capital‑project plans.
• Oversee the administration of work orders, inventory, and compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Identify and implement cost‑effective solutions to minimize liabilities and improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a hotel Maintenance Manager or in a comparable role.
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of health‑and‑safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift and operate equipment up to 50 lb.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
