About the role
We are seeking a qualified Math teacher to fill three Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) sections (1.0 FTE) at Waterloo C.I. for the period 2 September 2026 through 2 February 2027. The position is school‑based and includes an unpaid non‑teaching day on 4 September 2026. The board emphasizes equity, diversity and inclusion, and candidates will be asked to complete self‑identification questions as part of the application process.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the secondary mathematics curriculum to assigned classes during the LTO term.
- Assess student work, record grades and maintain required documentation in accordance with WRDSB policies.
- Collaborate with school staff, follow board directives and adhere to equity and inclusion guidelines; the assignment may be adjusted in whole or in part at the school’s discretion.
Required profile
- Current Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualification in Mathematics.
- Either a Secondary Occasional Teacher on the WRDSB roster or an external applicant.
- Not currently employed in a position that overlaps the LTO dates.
- Ability to submit a resume and a copy of a current Certificate of Qualification through Apply to Education by the closing deadline, and to complete the optional self‑identification questionnaire.
