About the role
The Upper Grand District School Board is seeking a dynamic individual to join its secondary teaching team on a Long‑Term Occasional basis. This role will cover one English section at John F. Ross CVI for the period September 2 2026 – February 2 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Provide continuous, high‑quality English instruction during the temporary absence of the regular teacher.
- Support student achievement and well‑being in line with Ontario Ministry of Education standards and Board policies.
- Collaborate with the principal and school staff to ensure a smooth transition and consistent classroom management.
Required profile
- Intermediate English qualification.
- Relevant teaching experience and appropriate QECO rating.
- Ability to work in a secondary school environment and report to the principal.
