Long Haul Truck Driver – Permanent Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking a reliable long haul truck driver to join Full Load Transport on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves transporting goods across various locations while ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and computer systems to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo, including tarping and safety checks.
• Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy, operating straight or articulated tractor‑trailers.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel usage, and relay information to central dispatch.
• Address customer complaints or concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Flexibility and ability to work early mornings, evenings, nights, days, weekends.
• Organised, reliable and a strong team player.
• Hardworking, patient and able to handle repetitive tasks while seated for long periods.

Required skills

• Class 1 or A driver’s licence.
• Proficiency with GPS navigation and computer routing tools.
• Operation of tractor‑trailer (straight or articulated) vehicles.
