About the role
We are seeking a long‑haul truck driver to join D Tarry Transport in Mississauga. The position involves transporting goods over long distances as part of a two‑person team, with full training provided for candidates without prior experience.
Key responsibilities
- Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy on long‑haul routes.
- Load and unload goods safely.
- Operate straight‑through or articulated trucks.
- Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections.
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Tarp cargo and ensure its safety and security.
- Communicate with central dispatch and relay information.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- Valid AZ class driver’s licence.
- No prior experience required – training will be provided.
- Willingness to work various shifts (morning, evening, night, day).
