Long Haul Truck Driver

About the role

Impact Freight Services Inc is seeking a reliable long haul truck driver to join its team in Edmonton. You will operate extended‑length tractor‑trailers on national and international routes, delivering goods safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy, handling straight or articulated trucks.
• Load, unload, tarp, and secure cargo, ensuring safety and security.
• Obtain special permits and required documentation for cross‑border shipments.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections, including brakes, tires, lights, cold‑storage equipment, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct emergency roadside repairs and brake adjustments as needed.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with central dispatch, relay information, and process payments for goods.

Required profile

• Professional customer service attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a two‑person team.
• Willingness to train and adapt to flexible working hours.

Required skills

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence
