About the role
Welly Transport INC is seeking a reliable long‑haul truck driver to join its Winnipeg fleet on a permanent, full‑time basis. The position involves transporting goods across long distances while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other equipment before each trip.
- Communicate with central dispatch, receiving instructions and relaying status updates.
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption accurately.
- Handle and transport dangerous goods in accordance with safety standards.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to 7 months of experience operating long‑haul trucks.
- Class 1/1F/A licence for semi‑trailer trucks.
- Air‑brakes endorsement.
Required skills
- Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance awareness.
- Knowledge of dangerous‑goods handling procedures.
