About the role
We are seeking a reliable long‑haul truck driver to join our two‑person team, transporting goods across distances. The role involves driving, loading, unloading, and ensuring cargo safety while maintaining detailed records.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations.
- Drive straight or articulated trucks as part of a convoy.
- Load and unload goods, tarp cargo and ensure its security.
- Oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment.
- Perform brake adjustments, preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs.
- Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- Valid Class 1 or A driver’s licence.
- No prior experience required – training will be provided.
- Attention to detail, good judgement and ability to sit for long periods.
- Physical capability to load and unload goods.
- Organised, reliable, team‑player and hardworking attitude.
