Long Haul Truck Driver (Full‑time, Permanent)

About the role

Join Best Transport Image Ltd. as a long‑haul truck driver, operating as part of a two‑person team or convoy to transport goods across Canada and on international routes. The position is full‑time, permanent and involves driving both straight and articulated trucks.

Key responsibilities

• Drive lighter, special‑purpose trucks and handle loading and unloading of cargo.
• Obtain and manage special permits and documentation required for international transport.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections, including brake adjustments, tire checks, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct emergency roadside repairs and ensure vehicle condition (lights, brakes, cold‑storage equipment).
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, and communicate with central dispatch.
• Tarp and secure cargo to protect it during transit.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for heavy trucks.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, nights, days and weekends as needed.
• Ability to ensure cargo safety and security.
