Logistics Supervisor

About the role

The Logistics Supervisor will lead fleet operations at Darling International's Moorefield facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of animal by‑products. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will coordinate dispatch, support drivers, and work closely with production and customer service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce all Health & Safety policies.
• Train, coach, and develop a high‑performing driver team, applying corrective actions when needed.
• Create, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures to drive operational consistency.
• Design daily routes, monitor execution, and conduct ride‑alongs to understand field conditions.
• Resolve customer service issues through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure fleet compliance with MOT, MOE, and MOL regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with the Fleet Maintenance team.
• Conduct incident investigations, document findings, and lead retraining initiatives.
• Visit customer sites periodically to assess service delivery and driver challenges.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education, preferably in Business, Logistics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and positive employee relations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MOT, MOE, and MOL regulatory requirements.
• Experience with fleet management and dispatch coordination.
