Logistics Manager – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead daily logistics, transportation, shipping and receiving operations at our manufacturing plant near Ingersoll, ON. The role ensures timely inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining compliance with customs and trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics, transportation, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery schedules.
• Oversee customs documentation, import/export compliance, and border clearance.
• Monitor freight costs, carrier performance, and logistics KPIs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, customs brokers, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support operations.
• Lead inventory flow planning to align with production schedules and customer demand.
• Investigate shipping discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives in logistics and supply‑chain processes.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, reports, and shipping documentation.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety policies and company procedures.

Required profile

• CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in logistics or supply‑chain management.
• At least 3 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Previous experience in a Logistics Manager or Supply Chain leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and international customs regulations and import/export processes.
• Proven ability to work with production, purchasing and warehouse teams.

Required skills

• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency with logistics software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
