Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Our client’s logistics division is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join the Mississauga team. You will manage day‑to‑day brokerage operations, coordinate cross‑border shipments and secure carrier capacity while delivering competitive pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage freight shipments across Canada and the United States.
• Source and secure carrier capacity through an established carrier network.
• Provide competitive spot quotes and pricing for truckload shipments.
• Develop transportation solutions based on customer requirements and market conditions.
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers and internal teams.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve service issues.
• Negotiate rates with carriers while maintaining profitability.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate shipment documentation and system updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or freight brokerage.
• Proven experience in a transportation brokerage environment.
• Strong understanding of US geography and major freight lanes.
• Experience with spot market pricing and carrier negotiations.
• Ability to build carrier relationships and secure capacity quickly.
• Strong problem‑solving and solution‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast‑paced environment.
