Locum Emergency Medicine Physician – Ridge Meadows Hospital

About the role

The Emergency Department at Ridge Meadows Hospital is looking for a qualified locum Emergency Medicine physician. The position may lead to a permanent staff role if both parties agree.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute emergency care to adult and pediatric patients in a 24/7 ED setting.
• Assess, stabilize, and manage a wide range of medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, surgery, and critical care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.

Required profile

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine or extensive emergency department experience.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS/APLS certifications.
• Eligibility for CPSBC US‑class registration.
• Willingness to work as a locum with potential conversion to staff.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS)
• Emergency medicine clinical expertise
