Live‑In Building Caretaker

About the role

Join Cleantech Service Group as a Live‑In Building Caretaker responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of a residential strata building in Burnaby. You will live on‑site, handle maintenance, cleaning, and act as the primary point of contact for residents and the property manager.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site operations, manage garbage/recycling areas, and coordinate inspections and seasonal services.
• Monitor building systems (mechanical room, heating, ventilation, pumps, water) and arrange contractor access when needed.
• Handle access security, including fob and interphone programming.
• Perform routine cleaning of common areas, floors, entrances, and exterior grounds.
• Collect funds, post notices, send emails, and submit caretaker reports.
• Maintain communication with the property manager and respond promptly to tenant requests.

Required profile

• Strong administrative abilities and flexibility to address requests quickly.
• At least 1 year experience in building caretaker or janitorial roles.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using scheduling software or basic computer applications.
