About the role
We are seeking a motivated line cook to join our rural restaurant team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to recipes and customer specifications.
- Accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances by adjusting preparations as needed.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
- Train junior staff in proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records, and track usage.
- Keep the kitchen and work areas clean and organized throughout the shift.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation (high school) or equivalent.
- 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
