Line Cook

About the role

Oliver & Bonacini, a café grill inside the Westin Trillium House Hotel in a ski village, is looking for a Line Cook. You will help deliver guest experiences across breakfast, lunch and dinner, working in a fast-paced environment that mixes hospitality, style and mountain lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform delegated tasks from the Sous Chef, Chef and/or General Manager
• Prepare food for the event space each day to O&B standards
• Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications
• Maintain a prep list of station duties and follow the FIFO method to keep food fresh
• Assist with food inventory and control, and with receiving and storing deliveries
• Clean prep areas, equipment and utensils, following sanitation, food safety and hygiene guidelines
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• 1-2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant or event/catering environment
• Able to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing

Required skills

• Basic understanding of professional cooking
• Knife handling skills
• Culinary diploma or degree is an asset
