Legal Counsel – Health Business Units

About the role

Join TELUS Health’s Legal & Regulatory Affairs team as a Counsel supporting multiple business units across Canada. You will provide commercial and regulatory legal advice to help deliver innovative health and well‑being solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily legal advice on commercial, regulatory and operational matters to various TELUS Health units.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor contracts, partnership agreements, service agreements and RFPs.
• Advise on health‑related regulatory requirements nationwide, with special focus on Québec law.
• Support new product and service launches by assessing legal risk and structuring agreements.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and deliver proactive, business‑focused counsel.
• Identify and implement process improvements for the legal function while managing a high volume of matters.
• Communicate legal advice clearly in both English and French and collaborate with external counsel as needed.

Required profile

• Called to the Bar at least three years ago.
• Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec or another Canadian Law Society with eligibility to practice in Québec.
• Fully bilingual in English and French (written and spoken) – mandatory.
• Proven experience structuring, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong business acumen, initiative, creativity and collaborative mindset.
