Legal Counsel – Fashion (Hybrid, Montreal)

About the role

Our client, a fashion company based in Montreal, is looking for a business‑oriented Legal Counsel on a one‑year contract that may become permanent. The role supports Canadian and U.S. operations, handling a wide range of commercial, regulatory and compliance matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including procurement, licensing, marketing, technology, intellectual property and supply‑chain contracts.
• Provide legal and compliance guidance to cross‑functional teams.
• Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks while supporting business objectives.
• Deliver legal and compliance training to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with legal and business teams on strategic initiatives and day‑to‑day matters.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
• At least 1 year of post‑bar experience.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadline management.
