Legal & Compliance Advisor

About the role

The Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) is seeking a motivated Legal & Compliance Advisor to support its legal, compliance, complaints, privacy, and corporate secretarial functions. You will help ensure the organization meets all regulatory, legal, and governance requirements while maintaining high standards of accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage compliance‑complaint, service‑complaint, privacy, and reconsideration inboxes.
• Assist with compliance investigations, audits, and related reporting.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and regulatory documentation.
• Support regulatory reporting and maintain accurate corporate records.
• Coordinate board meetings, prepare minutes, and manage corporate secretarial duties.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulators to ensure timely compliance with legal and governance obligations.
