About the role
Join a fast‑growing Canadian tax law boutique in downtown Toronto as a Legal Assistant. You will work closely with lawyers and administrative staff to keep daily operations running smoothly, handling files, communications, and client support.
Key responsibilities
- Manage legal files, rename, file, and structure documents; maintain folder organization.
- Track deadlines and correspondence using the firm’s internal system.
- Conduct follow‑ups with clients, counsel, and the CRA on outstanding documents and requests.
- Access and manage CRA client accounts, retrieve and submit authorized documents.
- Coordinate secure document exchanges via NetDocuments and TitanFile.
- Obtain corporate profile reports using Ecore/Dye & Durham and maintain records in Curo.
- Record disbursements, costs, and input time to matters.
- Draft correspondence to CRA, DOJ, and Tax Court under lawyer direction.
- Schedule calls, meetings, and update lawyers’ calendars.
- Provide client support, including technical assistance.
Required profile
- Post‑secondary education – Law Clerk or Legal Assistant diploma/certificate or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of office experience in a law firm.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Professional, proactive, and adaptable approach in a fast‑paced environment.

What we offer
- Salary $50,000‑$60,000 CAD per year, based on experience.
