Legal and Regulatory Compliance Advisor

About the role

The Legal and Regulatory Compliance Advisor designs, implements and monitors the compliance framework for the organization. You will ensure that officer and employee behaviours align with internal standards and regulatory requirements while supporting clients and partners in development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, update, implement and monitor legal and regulatory compliance action plans, programs, solutions and tools.
• Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes.
• Analyze information, conduct studies and propose recommendations to develop best practices.
• Train internal practitioners, raise awareness and communicate the organization’s culture of ethics and compliance.
• Oversee business‑line activities and represent internal and external partners.
• Represent the unit before committees, practitioners and other organizational units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience.
• Member of the Québec Bar (or equivalent qualification).
• Knowledge of French for positions in Quebec.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
• Action‑oriented with strong business insight, customer focus and interpersonal savvy.
