About the role
This position is for a faculty member to teach an undergraduate course on plant biology that explores plant diversity, form, and function. The course has limited enrolment and examines how plants meet ecological challenges without mobility.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures on plant diversity, physiology, and ecology.
- Prepare course materials, including presentations, reading lists, and assessment tools.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical activities.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students, fostering a deep understanding of plant biology concepts.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to maintain curriculum standards.
Required profile
- MSc and/or PhD in Biology or an allied field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience teaching undergraduate lectures is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage a limited‑enrolment classroom.
