About the role
We are seeking a qualified individual to join the Faculty of Science as a lecturer in inorganic chemistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering undergraduate courses covering periodic properties, bonding, structures, and reactions of inorganic compounds.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and assess undergraduate chemistry courses, including CHEM 1012.
- Develop and update course materials and laboratory exercises.
- Utilize the university’s learning management system to post content, manage assignments, and communicate with students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and academic committees.
Required profile
- Post‑graduate degree in Chemistry or a related discipline (PhD preferred).
- Strong background in inorganic chemistry, including periodic properties, bonding, and reaction mechanisms.
- Prior university teaching experience, preferably in inorganic chemistry.
- Experience using a learning management system is an asset.
Required skills
- Inorganic chemistry expertise.
- Learning Management System (LMS) operation.
