Lead Project Engineer / Geoscientist

About the role

Ryzuk Geotechnical is seeking a motivated Lead Project Engineer/Geoscientist to drive technical excellence and mentor junior staff on a variety of geotechnical projects across British Columbia and beyond. Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver geotechnical assessments, reporting, and design for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, and earth retention structures.
• Oversee ground improvement, settlement analysis, micro‑tremor surveys, and earthquake engineering studies.
• Coordinate soil instrumentation, monitoring, and shoreline revetment projects while mentoring junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or geological science.
• Professional registration as an Engineer or Geoscientist with EGBC or equivalent Canadian body.
• Minimum four years of experience in an engineering or geoscience firm.
• Valid BC driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with TIP software.
• Experience using Plaxis for geotechnical modelling.
• Knowledge of PDA analysis tools.
