Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and operation of cloud‑native infrastructure for our distributed applications. Based in Vancouver, you will work on‑site four days a week, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and high‑performing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, including networking, storage, and compute resources.
• Manage Docker container deployment and orchestration using AWS EKS and related Kubernetes tooling.
• Author automated deployments and provisioning with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Ensure security and compliance through access management, encryption, and industry‑standard controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in cloud environments and applications.
• Monitor system performance, generate reports, and drive optimization initiatives.
• Implement AWS solutions such as Data Sync, Batch Jobs, and EMR, and support serverless workloads (Lambda).

Required profile

• 13+ years of experience with large‑scale distributed applications in public cloud (AWS preferred).
• 5+ years building cloud‑native services using Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, and related technologies.
• Strong communication skills, ability to manage conflict, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
