Language Learner Intensive

About the role

The Language Learner Intensive position supports Yuūlūˀīlˀatˀh Government’s language revitalization efforts. You will spend 15 hours per week learning the language, collaborating with fluent speakers, and sharing knowledge with the community.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the language as a team, committing to 12 hours of in‑person/online sessions and 3 hours of independent study each week.
• Teach and share language using the ‘Where Are Your Keys’ method, creating an animated and welcoming learning environment.
• Document learning through videos, photos, and audio recordings, maintaining materials for ongoing revitalization work.
• Travel for language conferences or intensive sessions in hitaću twice yearly (1–2 weeks each) and support neighbouring nations.

Required profile

• Criminal record check completed.
• Ability to work well within a collaborative team framework.
• Access to a personal computer (not a tablet or phone) for online sessions.
• Willingness to be animated and share language in a fun way.
