Lane Control Technician

About the role

We are seeking Lane Control Technicians with a background in traffic control to join our team in Chilliwack. You will support lane setups, assist with general labour, and help keep people safe and projects moving in a variety of work zones. Candidates with or without First Aid Level 3 are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and inspect traffic control equipment according to the Traffic Management Plan.
• Direct traffic, pedestrians, and workers around road construction sites.
• Create and maintain daily documentation to meet WorkSafeBC requirements.

Required profile

• Safety‑conscious and effective communicator with knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations.
• Hold a valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification.
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Lane Control Technician on highways and municipal roadways.
• Ability to operate a crash attenuator/TMA truck (training provided for the right candidate).
• Local candidates from the Fraser Valley are preferred.

Required skills

• Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification.
• Operation of crash attenuator or TMA trucks.
• Knowledge of WorkSafeBC traffic‑control regulations.
