About the role
The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee daily operations in the cafeteria, ensuring food is prepared, portioned, and served to high quality standards. This role involves managing a small team, maintaining safety and sanitation, and handling customer concerns.
Key responsibilities
- Establish methods and schedules to meet work demands.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of 3‑4 staff members who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredient and supply needs for meal preparation.
- Ensure food quality and service meet control standards.
- Address customer complaints and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit operational reports.
- Supervise delivery and organization of food trolleys.
Required profile
- 1–2 years experience in a cafeteria or food‑service environment.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, noisy, odorous setting with physical tasks such as standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Strong client focus, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability.
- Team‑player attitude, organized and hardworking.
