Kitchen Manager

About the role

The Kitchen Manager will lead daily kitchen operations at Prairie Asian Bistro, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficient service in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain work schedules for kitchen staff.
• Order food, ingredients, and kitchen supplies to meet menu requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks, kitchen helpers, and food service staff.
• Train employees on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient quantities and prepare budget and cost estimates.
• Hire, onboard, and evaluate food service personnel.
• Monitor food quality and service standards, addressing customer complaints promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and waste, and generate regular reports.

Required skills

• Food safety knowledge (Food Safety Certificate required).
