About the role

The Catholic District School Board is seeking a Junior Elementary Teacher to join St. Mother Teresa School in Russell, effective September 1, 2026. This full‑time permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum for elementary grades in accordance with Ontario Ministry guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and learning.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and families to support student development.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and equity‑focused programs.

Required profile

• Ontario College of Teachers certification.
• Junior‑level experience or recent graduation from a teacher education program.
• Willingness to meet specialized subject requirements as mandated by the Ministry.
