Junior Designer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Designer to join our Equipment Technologies Team in Mississauga. Under the guidance of the Lead Structural Designer, you will contribute to the creation of structural layouts, models and detailed drawings that support our mining, energy and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce structural layouts, 3‑D models and engineering drawings in line with project requirements.
• Provide design input across the project lifecycle, from concept through detailed engineering.
• Assist with the design of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic subsystems.
• Review drawings for accuracy, material selection, manufacturability and finish specifications.
• Prepare engineering design packages for final review and approval.
• Collaborate with technical managers, project teams, vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a degree in Mechanical, Structural or related engineering discipline.
• Strong interest in equipment design and willingness to learn from senior engineers.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with multidisciplinary teams.
