Junior Design Engineer (UI/UX & Frontend)

About the role
As a Junior Design Engineer at Ashby, you will blend UI/UX design with front‑end development to create polished, user‑focused experiences for our recruiting platform. You will work closely with product engineers and our recruiting team to turn ideas into functional, beautiful interfaces.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement UI improvements for our mobile web app, from wireframes to production code.
- Expand and maintain Ashby’s in‑house design system, building flexible, composable components.
- Collaborate with product engineers to refine information hierarchy and improve scannability of candidate data.
- Gather user feedback through customer interviews and iterate quickly on designs.
Required profile
- Passion for both design and code, with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to translate user needs into intuitive UI/UX solutions.
- Comfort working in a fast‑growing, collaborative environment.
