Junior Design Engineer (Design + Code)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer who can both design intuitive user experiences and implement them in code. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will work closely with product engineers and our recruiting team to shape the UI and UX of a high‑traffic recruiting platform.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign and enhance the mobile web app by gathering user feedback, creating wireframes, and turning them into polished UI using our design system.
• Build and maintain flexible, composable components that enable other engineers to create consistent setup wizards.
• Collaborate with product engineers to improve information hierarchy and scannability of candidate assessment views.
• Contribute to the evolution of our in‑house design system, ensuring it supports both design and technical requirements.

Required profile

• Passion for combining design thinking with hands‑on coding.
• Strong communication skills to work with customers, engineers, and product teams.
• Ability to iterate quickly and incorporate feedback from real users.

Required skills

• Experience designing UI/UX for web applications.
• Proficiency in front‑end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript or similar).
• Familiarity with component‑based design systems.
