Junior Core French Teacher (Prep & Planning) – 1 FTE

About the role

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a permanent Junior Core French teacher responsible for French preparation and planning. This full‑time (1.00 FTE) position supports the Board’s mission to provide an inclusive, faith‑based education to over 50,000 students across 91 schools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Core French instruction to junior students in accordance with the Ontario curriculum.
• Design, implement, and assess French preparation and planning activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Catholic values and promote deep learning.
• Maintain accurate student records and comply with Board policies.
• Contribute to an equitable and diverse school community.

Required profile

• Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Successful completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the Board’s Indigenous land acknowledgment.
• Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check and, if applicable, an OT interview process.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Core French curriculum and lesson‑planning techniques.
