About the role
A respected Ontario law firm is expanding its Civil Litigation team and seeks a motivated Junior Construction Litigation Lawyer. This position offers the chance to develop expertise in construction law while working alongside experienced litigators in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with construction‑related litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, procurement documents, and other legal materials.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support client matters.
- Participate in discoveries, mediations, arbitrations, adjudications, negotiations, and court appearances.
- Support clients on construction contracts, lien claims, procurement disputes, deficiency claims, and related litigation issues.
Required profile
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Ontario.
- Approximately 2–3 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to construction‑related matters.
- Strong legal research, drafting, advocacy, and communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple files, meet deadlines, and deliver exceptional client service.
