Junior Associate - Library Services (Winter 2027)

About the role

Export Development Canada (EDC) is hiring a Junior Associate for its Library Services team for a 12-month student work term in winter 2027. The team manages information subscription budgets, renewals and new product purchases, evaluates business requirements, coordinates access to subscriptions and updates the e-Library catalogue. The position suits a motivated student or recent graduate and offers practical experience in library services.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on client requests for access to information subscriptions
• Collect usage data and user feedback for information subscriptions
• Update user lists
• Collect and analyze subscription renewals
• Organize supplier-delivered training sessions on information subscriptions
• Create curated collections to raise awareness and use of information subscriptions
• Update Library SharePoint Online sites

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Library Science program, or a recent graduate
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Availability to work onsite in EDC's downtown Ottawa office
• Eligible to work legally in Canada at the time of application (citizen, permanent resident or work permit); security screening applies
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset

Required skills

• Familiarity with SharePoint
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong communication skills

• Student, new grad and master's salaries ranging from $42,900 to $56,550 annually, depending on year of study
