Journeyman/Woman Automotive Mechanic

About the role

Kal Tire is seeking a skilled journeyman or journeyman‑woman automotive mechanic to join our service team in Prince Albert. You will work on commercial transport trucks and related trailer systems, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable and meet manufacturer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive and truck‑trailer systems.
• Inspect, test and diagnose mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, road‑test vehicles and verify repairs against specifications.
• Estimate parts and labour costs, complete work orders and record reports.
• Provide customer service by advising on performed work and future repair needs.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably on commercial trucks.
• Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and Red Seal Certificate.
• Bondable status and clear criminal record check.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and ability to work in a fast‑paced, dusty environment.
• Dependable, punctual team player with excellent oral communication.
