IT Support Specialist – On-site in Montreal

About the role

Valnet is seeking a hands‑on IT Support Specialist to ensure that employees have the equipment they need to stay productive. You will manage onboarding and off‑boarding hardware, support remote workers, and keep the office’s technology environment running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure, ship, and recover laptops and peripherals for new hires and departing staff.
• Coordinate shipping logistics across multiple locations, maintain accurate asset records, and track remote equipment.
• Provide first‑line troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Set up desk moves, workspace configurations, and AV equipment for meetings and events.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory and asset‑tracking databases.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff as needed.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a help‑desk or IT support role, or equivalent education/certifications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage equipment logistics.
• Comfortable handling, lifting, and moving hardware.
• Clear communication and a service‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize a varied workload.
