IT Summer Student – Infrastructure (Calgary)

About the role

Burgundy Diamond Mines is seeking a motivated IT Summer Student to support its infrastructure and cybersecurity team in Calgary. The 4‑month term offers hands‑on experience in desktop support, networking, and server operations within a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Onboard new users and perform AD/GAL updates.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support for end‑users.
• Build, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop PCs.
• Support Microsoft‑Suite applications and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage AD, VPN, and multi‑factor authentication services.
• Assist with server support and IT inventory management.
• Provide remote IT assistance for Ekati operations.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Diploma program in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude, proactive mindset and good communication skills.
