About the role
We are looking for a motivated, hands‑on IT Specialist to support our technology infrastructure, systems, and end‑user services across Eastern Canada. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work independently and collaboratively to resolve issues, implement solutions, and ensure consistent support coverage for multiple locations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to office and field personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Support onboarding and off‑boarding activities, including device configuration and deployment.
- Maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist with hardware inventory, procurement, and asset lifecycle management.
- Support Microsoft 365 suite, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, ProjectSight, ADP, Concur, Procore, SiteApp Pro, Avaya phone system, and related applications.
- Manage remote access technologies such as VPNs, Duo Security, NetExtender, and remote desktop tools.
- Assist with cloud connectivity and field communication systems, including Starlink.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access management.
- Contribute to IT security initiatives, updates, patches, and endpoint protection.
- Support project mobilizations and site technology setups.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager on technology projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation, procedures, and technical support records.
Required profile
- 3–5+ years of progressive IT support experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Outlook, SharePoint, hardware support, and mobile device management.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, LAN/WAN) and firewall administration.
- Experience supporting users in a multi‑site environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer‑service skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader team.
- Willingness to work occasional after‑hours or weekend shifts for maintenance and emergencies.
