IT Architect Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Architect Specialist to lead cloud design and strategy for our enterprise. You will work closely with project teams, senior managers, and the Cloud Business Office to ensure solutions align with our long‑term cloud roadmap and deliver business value.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive architectural design, cloud strategy, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Support end‑to‑end cloud architecture patterns, translating business requirements into technical blueprints.
• Lead migration initiatives, creating strategies (rehost, re‑platform, refactor) and ensuring IaC automation.
• Establish architectural guardrails, conduct design reviews, and optimise cloud consumption according to FinOps standards.
• Mentor teams, curate documentation, and promote self‑service cloud capabilities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 6 years focused on cloud solution architecture.
• Strong background in enterprise environments, preferably regulated or public‑sector.
• Proven ability to translate complex requirements into scalable, cost‑effective cloud solutions.

• AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Kubernetes and Docker containerisation
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation
• CI/CD pipelines (Atlassian JIRA, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Identity and Access Management, encryption, network security
• Serverless computing
