Investment Associate – Real Estate

About the role

NADG is seeking a driven Investment Associate to join its Toronto office located at Don Mills & Eglinton. This hands‑on position sits at the core of the firm’s acquisition, development and disposition activities across its retail, residential and mixed‑use strategies, and remains involved throughout the full investment life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build complex financial models in Excel and ARGUS and perform ad‑hoc analysis for new opportunities and existing assets.
• Conduct detailed due diligence, including financial analysis, lease and contract review, and coordination of external consultants.
• Prepare and present internal and external investment memorandums, fundraising packages and ARGU documentation.
• Collaborate with Leasing, Development, Construction, Property Management, Finance and Capital Formation teams to execute strategic business plans.
• Monitor asset performance against underwriting, track leasing, development and operational milestones, and produce regular updates for stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation and review of investor reporting materials.
• Track market trends and recent transactions to generate actionable insights for investment strategy.
• Oversee annual property budgeting and coordinate semi‑annual/annual appraisals for select holdings.
• Review analyst work products, ensuring quality control and fostering mentorship within the team.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in real‑estate investment analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modeling.
• Proficiency with ARGUS software.
