Internal Audit & Controls Co-op (Winter & Summer 2027)

About the role

Use your critical thinking skills in a fast‑growing investment management firm. BCI is hiring one Internal Audit co‑op and one Internal Controls co‑op for Winter and Summer 2027 work terms in Victoria.

Key responsibilities

• Research investment industry trends and emerging risk areas to support audit planning.
• Assist in planning and executing internal audit engagements and the SOC 1 program, including coordination with external auditors.
• Develop data visualisation dashboards and improve automation tools for audit and control processes.
• Support cross‑departmental projects that require internal audit or controls input.

Required profile

• Team player who can also work independently on assignments.
• Strong critical‑thinking, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to gather information and present concise reports using Microsoft Office tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Microsoft Word

• Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude (a plus)
