Intern Architect – Edmonton

About the role

Stantec’s Buildings team is looking for an Intern Architect to join its Edmonton office. You will work alongside registered architects on all phases of design, from concept sketches to construction site visits, gaining hands‑on experience in a global design practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams in creating architectural design documentation.
• Develop design concepts using sketches, physical models, 3D models, diagrams, and massing studies.
• Utilize BIM technologies to produce three‑dimensional building models.
• Participate in design critiques, pin‑ups, and collaborative meetings.
• Interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and revise site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and produce site observation reports.
• Assist in selecting building systems, materials, and sustainable design solutions.

Required profile
