Concrete Finisher (Edmonton)

About the role

Industrial Floor Systems is looking for a Concrete Finisher to join its Edmonton, AB team. The position involves preparing formwork, placing and finishing concrete, and ensuring high‑quality surface results on industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement before concrete placement.
• Place concrete directly into forms or onto surfaces according to grade specifications.
• Fill hollows, remove spots, and operate power vibrators to compact fresh concrete.
• Level and finish the top surface to required depth and grade.
• Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages and apply desired finishes using hand and power tools.
• Instruct apprentices and install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds, waterproof, damp‑proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface or replace worn or damaged concrete sections.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of concrete finishing experience.

Required skills

• Operation of power vibrators.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for concrete finishing.
• Installation of anchor bolts and steel plates.
• Application of hardening, sealing and waterproofing compounds.
