Intermediate Technologist / Architect

About the role

Formwerks Architectural Inc. is looking for a self‑directed Intermediate Technologist / Architect to join its growing Vancouver studio. You will work closely with partners, contribute to all project phases, and have the opportunity to develop into a senior project manager.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners and gradually assume senior project management responsibilities.
• Lead design from concept through construction completion on multiple projects.
• Develop design solutions using sketches, CAD, and 3D modelling.
• Research materials, building systems, and code requirements.
• Review, coordinate, and integrate consultant drawings.
• Conduct field reviews and manage construction communications.
• Maintain high‑quality standards while meeting strict deadlines.
• Build and sustain relationships with clients and consultants.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in architecture or drafting with a technology diploma in architecture.
• Minimum 3 years experience on wood‑frame multi‑family, town‑home, or condo projects.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience producing detailed working drawings and coordinating design teams.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently or within a team.
