Intermediate Process Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the role

Acero Engineering Inc. is looking for an Intermediate Process Engineer with at least 7 years of experience to support oil and gas facility projects from concept through start‑up. The role involves independent technical work, client interaction and delivery of engineering deliverables on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer and custom spreadsheets.
• Size PSV’s, pipelines, lines and flare systems; conduct equipment and pipeline flow calculations.
• Prepare process DBMs, technical reports and RFQ datasheets with minimal supervision.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, isometrics and plot plans, ensuring compliance with API, ASME, PHA and Alberta directives.
• Design small projects independently, represent Acero to clients and meet project timelines and cost targets.
• Stay current with relevant codes, standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration in Alberta (APEGA) – EGBC preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of EPCM experience in oil & gas facilities.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
