Intermediate Interior Designer

About the role

CHIL, a boutique interior design studio within the Surbana Jurong group, is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join its Toronto studio. The role focuses on hospitality‑focused projects, supporting concept development, documentation and execution while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create compelling presentations using the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ensure design work meets studio excellence standards.
• Attend client meetings as a presenter and representative.
• Coordinate with local suppliers, consultants, client representatives and internal team members to meet project milestones.
• Develop space‑planning solutions that satisfy program requirements and local building codes.
• Assist in developing 2D and 3D design concepts and high‑quality renderings.
• Research, recommend and present finishes and furnishings that align with functional, aesthetic, environmental and budgetary goals.

Required profile

• Intermediate level experience in interior design, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail in documentation and adherence to design standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
