Intermediate Environmental Professional

About the role

H3M Environmental Ltd. is looking for a motivated Intermediate Environmental Professional to join its Fort St. John team. You will support a variety of projects in upstream oil and gas, municipal infrastructure and other sectors, performing field‑based assessments, monitoring and remediation work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting environmental site assessments, remediation and reclamation activities.
• Perform environmental monitoring, inspection and prepare Acknowledgement of Reclamation (AOR) submissions.
• Support senior staff with data collection, analysis, interpretation and preparation of field reports.
• Help prepare and file environmental permit applications and maintain accurate field records.
• Stay current with Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan environmental regulations.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in environmental science, biology, agrology or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or fieldwork (internships or volunteer work accepted).
• Strong interest in hands‑on field work and ability to work in remote, challenging conditions.
• Attention to detail and ability to document observations accurately.
